Ivy Tech Community College students and programs receive Indiana Commission for Career and Technical Education Awards for Excellence
 
INDIANAPOLIS (February 12, 2007) –Eight students and three academic programs from Ivy Tech Community College are among those being recognized at the 23nd Indiana Career and Technical Education Awards for Excellence ceremony to be held today at 3 p.m. in the Indiana Government Conference Center.

The Indiana Career and Technical Education Awards for Excellence programs, sponsored by the Indiana Commission for Career and Technical Education in cooperation with the Indiana Career and Technical Education Association, was established in 1984 to recognize students, programs, personnel services and active partnerships that contribute to superior careers and technical education in Indiana. Nominations are collected statewide and screened by a committee of technical educators and private sector leaders. The awards ceremony is held annually during National Career and Technical Education Week.

Ivy Tech Community College programs being honored include Associate of Science in Nursing at the College’s Bloomington campus, Mortuary Science at the Gary campus and Respiratory Care at the Lafayette campus.
